1 Month

What a crazy month! I don't think any amount of preparation could get you ready for that first little while at home. Little Indie has been the sweetest  girl and has made our lives so so happy. I don't think I could love her or Adam more!

Here's a glimpse at our first month with Indie... * It's all pictures - I warned you*

We spent the first week under lights dang it! We got home from the hospital Friday and by Monday she looked so yellow. These pictures break my heart because she hated the lights and wouldn't sleep well with them. Not only do the lights suck but then we had to go get her heel pricked every day and that was the worst! Every time we went they would say "Oh she is a good bleeder!" like that is supposed to make me feel better. In fact she was so good that her heel wouldn't stop bleeding after the took the cotton ball off so they had to wrap it. So sad.

Baby cast :(

The dogs love her ....

She loves her car seat and walks with the dogs....

She has a love/hate relationship with bath time - loves the bath, hates getting out of the bath...

Loves her hands...

Loves her wubbanub and boppy...

Loves making faces - especially at Adam...

She is really strong! At least I think so ... every other baby is probably just like her, I just don't have a clue and I am in proud mommy mode. Indie has been picking her head up since the day we brought her home, she has really strong kicks and does what I like to call baby leg lifts, and every now and then when she is laying down she will roll from side to side.

You can't see very well but this is her leg lift position

Rolls side to side - especially if she knows I am next to her

This picture kills me... she was going crazy on her stomach - kicking her legs, moving her head around - and then all the sudden she was just like "I'm done"

She smiles and talks more now and most of the time it is random so it is hard to catch with the camera. Although this last week she is reacting more to us which is so exciting!

And what she does best right now - spit up...

I'm not sure what her weight and height is right now but at her two week appointment she was at...
Weight : 6 lbs 6 oz. - 6%
Height : 19.5" - 20%
She is definitely bigger now, although she is still in newborn diapers and clothing. It's crazy what changes in a couple of weeks. Can't wait to see what changes in the next month!

  2. Ahhh!! I can not express to you enough that I LOVE HER!! I need to hold her! She seems like she has such a funny personality! Haha!! Her cutie little hands in those hand pics. LOVE!! And she does seem strong.. I am just realizing that True doesn't do the baby work out leg lifts like you spoke of.. Summer would do those but True just kind of hangs out. Lazy baby ;) haha oh babies! Lets play soon. Summer is healthy again so maybe we can make a visit to you!?
